I’m a bankruptcy and insurance attorney with more than 15 years of experience representing businesses, creditors, and insurers in complex and financially distressed matters. My career includes serving as a law clerk to a federal bankruptcy judge and spending six years with the Tenth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. In private practice, I have represented sophisticated institutional clients, including insurance companies and Fortune 500 companies, in bankruptcy matters and related litigation across the country. Through Perry, PLLC, I focus on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, insurance, and the legal issues that arise when financial distress intersects with business operations and litigation. I also provide fractional and project-based general counsel services to businesses that need experienced legal guidance without the cost of a full-time GC. I particularly enjoy working with other attorneys and fractional GCs as a specialist resource when a client encounters a bankruptcy, creditor, restructuring, or insurance issue outside their primary practice. I can step in for a discrete matter, collaborate with existing counsel, or take on a broader role depending on the client’s needs. My approach is practical and business-minded: understand the client’s objectives, identify the real legal and business risks, and provide clear advice that helps decision-makers move forward.
