About

I served 20 years as a Marine Corps judge advocate, then as Senior Ethics Counsel for the Navy, and most recently as Corporation Counsel for the City of Ansonia, Connecticut. I now run a solo practice in Northern Virginia. I'm licensed in Virginia and Connecticut and admitted to the Eastern District of Virginia. My practice focuses on two areas. - Outside General Counsel for Small Businesses and Government Contractors When you run a small business, your time should go to customers, sales, and the work only you can do. Legal issues pull you away from all of that. I take them off your plate. I review and negotiate contracts, answer employment questions, and catch problems early before they turn into disputes. For government contractors, that includes subcontracts, teaming agreements, and FAR and DFARS compliance. You get a lawyer who knows your business, and you get your time back. I work on a monthly retainer or hourly. - Security Clearance and Administrative Hearings I represent cleared employees, contractors, and service members in security clearance proceedings and administrative hearings. That includes Statement of Reasons (SOR) responses, written interrogatories, DOHA hearings, and military administrative boards. I spent two decades inside the military legal system, and I know how these decisions get made.
