About

I lead product at Irys, where we're building the unified AI platform for legal - replacing the patchwork of disconnected tools that legal teams have been forced to work around for years. Additionally, I’m the founder of Code + Counsel where over the last 3 years my wife/business partner and I have helped firms and legal tech startups integrate AI, LLMs, and business intelligence into their legal operations. I got here by spending 13+ years on both sides of the problem. I practiced as a litigator at an AmLaw 250 firm, managed operations and risk at a Fortune 500 bank, and directed legal due diligence and BI strategy for $60B+ in mortgage assets at a leading fintech. Along the way, I built data pipelines, architected LLM-driven decisioning engines, and deployed custom ML/AI systems not as a side project, but as the core of how I approached legal operations. Prior to working with Irys I was a senior legal engineer for Agiloft, where I trained and evaluated large language models for contract intelligence, designed AI-powered CLM features grounded in RAG and context engineering, and served as the bridge between product, engineering, and the legal professionals the platform was built for. That work deepened my understanding of what it takes to build agentic AI that actually performs in legal workflows in production.
