Corey Gerson
Strategic legal partner for tech-driven businesses
Licensed in: Colorado, New York
About
I started my legal career with Kirkland & Ellis in New York before moving in-house to Nearmap and then Databricks. I became deeply familiar with each business through these in-house roles, where I led complex deal negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners. This involved work such as reviewing and negotiating various types of agreements tied to SaaS, AI, and data privacy (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), as well as more traditional service-based arrangements. While at Databricks, I also managed a team, helped scale the legal department to roughly fifty people, and worked closely with other folks in sales, finance, product, and security to close deals and streamline contracting processes. I now own a law firm called G2L, and I continue to support tech-driven clients ranging from high-growth startups to the Fortune 100. My approach mirrors in-house priorities: quick turnaround, practical advice, and a focus on helping businesses move faster.
