About
I’m the founder of Gilbertson Law Office, where I help business owners and families with business transactions, estate planning, succession planning, and uncontested probate and trust administration.
My business practice includes entity formation, ownership agreements, contracts, business purchases and sales, and ongoing general counsel services. My estate planning work includes wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. I also guide personal representatives and trustees through the administration of estates and trusts in uncontested matters.
A particular focus is helping business owners connect their business and personal planning: coordinating ownership agreements, planning for a partner’s departure or an owner’s incapacity, and aligning business succession with the family’s estate plan. I work with clients’ CPAs and financial advisers to coordinate the legal documents with their broader plans.
My approach is practical and direct. I explain the options and tradeoffs, define the scope of the work, and help clients make informed decisions.
