I am primarily an employment law attorney with over 13 years of experience advising public education institutions, small-to-medium businesses, and nonprofits. I have an HR background and hold a SHRM-SCP certification. In addition to employment law, I have experience litigating business disputes, providing counsel on general business matters, and negotiating contracts. Employment Counsel & HR Consulting for Employers I support employers throughout the employee lifecycle, helping them comply with laws regarding wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. I advise on day-to-day human resource matters, including employee performance, discipline, internal complaints, and conflict resolution. I also help employers develop clear, compliant policies and practices that reduce risk and foster positive workplace culture. Workplace Investigations A key piece of fulfilling your obligations as an employer is understanding how to address allegations or reports of inappropriate conduct. Often, employers need an impartial investigation before taking action to resolve personnel issues and address any liability concerns. I regularly conduct neutral, confidential investigations into complaints, reports, or allegations. Counsel for Employees I also advise employees who need independent legal counsel to review and advise on employment agreements, severance agreements, or representation when they believe their rights at work have been violated.
