Rebel Sage Legal

About

Hi, I'm Kristina — a recovering typical beige corporate lawyer. I built Rebel Sage Legal: a practice that is direct, focused, and most importantly human first. The business matters — but understanding the people who run it matters just as much. The whole business. The whole human. That's the motto. I handle corporate and M&A work for founders, operators, and growing companies — buy-side and sell-side deals, financings, shareholder buyouts and restructurings, governance, and the contracts that match how a business actually runs. I've worked as outside counsel and embedded inside companies as fractional GC, so I get up to speed fast and don't need the situation explained twice. What clients want from me isn't more legal — it's a decision they can act on. I'll tell you what I think, where the real risk sits, and what I'd do in your seat, in plain English and without the defensive hedging that makes legal advice useless right when you need it most. Senior judgment, commercial instinct, and a bias toward done. Dual-barred in New York and Ontario, both active and in good standing. Fully remote and tool-agnostic — I ramp into whatever you already run on. I take the work seriously and laugh at myself daily. I've built things, so I've sat on your side of the table. I travel for the love of it, and I know a frightening number of 80s power-ballad lyrics — performed on request, fully aware I cannot carry a tune. Quality work without the theatrics. No beige legal. Because beige is boring. Bring me the deal, the mess, or the decision you've been circling. I'll bring the judgment — the power ballad is negotiable.
