I’m Syeda Nazifa Nawroj, Esq., the founder and principal attorney of Empowering Legal Solutions PC (d/b/a Merger Lawyer), a micro corporate law firm based in Silicon Valley. I advise founders, investors, and small to mid-sized private companies through the full business lifecycle—from formation, fundraising, and commercial contracts to complex restructurings and successful exits. With nearly a decade of dedicated M&A and corporate experience, I’ve closed more than 40 acquisitions and sales totaling nearly $3 billion in aggregate transaction value, and I continue to serve as lead deal counsel for technology and life-sciences businesses in the lower-middle-market and emerging-growth space. Before launching ELS, I trained at DLA Piper and Fenwick & West, where I represented founders in strategic transactions during a highly active private-company M&A market. I’m also the author of Sell Your Start-Up: A Founder’s Guide to Navigate and Win at M&A, written to help entrepreneurs approach deals with clarity and confidence (available on Amazon). I’m licensed to practice law in California only. For transactional matters, I represent clients across the United States, working seamlessly with local counsel where needed. My firm operates with a US-based team of big-law and big-tech experienced attorneys, all licensed in the United States, and a bespoke staffing model that brings the right specialist to each matter without unnecessary overhead.
