About
I am a dual-qualified commercial lawyer (England & Wales and New South Wales, Australia) with more than 15 years' experience advising high-growth technology, media, entertainment and digital businesses, from early-stage startups through to multinational organisations. My practice combines strategic legal counsel with commercial leadership, reflecting my experience as both General Counsel and founder. I currently serve as Co-Founder, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer and General Counsel of 1001, a leading digital streaming platform in the Middle East. In this role, I lead all legal and strategic matters, including complex commercial contracts, technology and SaaS agreements, content licensing, corporate structuring, fundraising, M&A, joint ventures, cross-border transactions, regulatory advice, intellectual property, data privacy, governance, employment and dispute management. Alongside my in-house role, I advise founders, scale-ups and growth-stage businesses on fractional General Counsel matters, helping leadership teams navigate commercial negotiations, fundraising, strategic partnerships, international expansion, corporate governance and legal operations. I have particular expertise in technology, AI, media, telecommunications, streaming, venture-backed businesses and open innovation. Having previously practised at leading international law firms and worked across the UK, Australia and the Middle East, I focus on providing commercially pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice that enables companies to scale while managing legal and commercial risk. My approach is to act as a trusted strategic adviser rather than simply an external lawyer, ensuring legal advice aligns with commercial objectives.
